José Cesar Martins

A sociologist graduated at Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), Martins’ expertise, however, is business creation. Worked as president of Pólo RS development agency from 1997 to 1999, a company responsible for attracting investments to Rio Grande do Sul state, with special notice to the negotiations which brought Dell to the state. In 2000, Martins founded GoDigital, a company focused on software, databases, precision marketing and geoanalysis technology. In 10 years, Martins made GoDigital one of the leading forces in the innovation technology market, as well as an internationally prized business. Martins sold 70% of the company to Arkansas’ Acxiom Corp in 2010, staying in charge until 2011, when he left Acxiom to start Paradoxa. José Cesar has the belief that our scientific brains have all the necessary conditions to reach superior performance whether in California or in any other innovation location. Unlike others who see the scarce production of consistent business initiatives as a symptom of congenital lack of entrepreneurial DNA, José Cesar sees this scenario as a circumstance of the past and not as a limitation to the future. Martins shares the understanding that we have the capability and the scientific-technological skills awaiting for proper ignation. Paradoxa was created to establish a link between the scientific world and the world of global innovation-based business.
